Strontium Mac memory – Review

DDR3 memory is becoming more popular than DDR2 as it consumes less power, while delivering better performance.

Strontium has released a kit for Macintosh machines, enabling easy up-gradating. This solves the problem of frequently replacing machines for better performance, without needing to replace the whole machine.

This pair of DDR3 DIMMs is rated at 1066MHz with precise timing even at relatively low voltages. The modules look neat and use Hynix IC chips to deliver high performance.

We conducted several benchmark tests on these memory modules to judge their performance. After each benchmarking procedure, we restarted the system to get accurate results. Most of the tests focused on performance with couple of gaming sessions thrown in for good measure.

The modules passed all the tests with flying colors. We were impressed particularly by the copying speeds achieved, we are sure these modules will outperform their competitors in any network based data transfer activity.

Strontium Mac memory comes in a pack of two 2GB modules. If you are willing to spend more you can go for the 4GB pack. With a lifetime warranty these memory modules will surely add a zing to your system.
